d'Art has been an active musician on clarinet since his time in high school, having performed under the batons of such esteemed conductors as Dr. Jay Gephart, Dr. Emily Threinen, Col. Jason Fettig, the late Dr. Robert Carnochan, and more. He is also an active solo performer and is always looking for more opportunities to share his playing. d'Art has been an active member of several large and small ensembles at both Radford University and Arizona State University, performing in competitions, conferences, and supporting the creation of new music. He has premiered works by Jonathan Russell, Steven Bryant, Nicole Piunno, Cornelius Boots, and numerous up-and-coming composers.

d'Art's teachers include Josh and Stefanie Gardner, Jeff Anderle, Robert Spring, Deborah Bish, Stephan Vermeersch, Michelle Smith-Johnson, and Elisha Willinger.
